Kong Hans Kælder is inspired by the elements of the periodic table used by alchemists in their attempt to create gold. Each element represents a different aspect of the restaurant, such as the food, the service, the ambiance, and the philosophy. The menu is divided into four acts, each with a different theme and mood. You will embark on a sensory journey that will challenge your perception of reality and stimulate your curiosity.

Kong Hans Kælder is located in the vaulted cellars of the historic mansion Moltkes Palæ, dating back to the 17th century, just a javelin throw from Kongens Nytorv in the very centre of Copenhagen¹. The main dining room seats about 40 guests at round tables and additionally we offer a private dining room that are ideal for smaller parties between 10-14 people, seeking an evening of refined dining in privacy².
